Tag-out is identification put on an item to indicate that it will not be in use for certain purpose, for a certain duration. Tag-out will serve both quality and safety purpose. An identification mean shall be applied to the item, be it a tag, a piece of paper, or notification that inform everybody around it. A tag shall have id, owner, date, purpose.
Tag in is applied once the item being tagged-out is being brought back into operation/use. The tag-in will cancel a tag-out.
Both shall be recorded so that it can be used for future reference.
